Idea behind creating this passion project came from taking joy in riding MTB bikes and creating bike parts. We wanted to create affordable casting pedals which will look good and were functional.

Research
Project idea was to create casting product like the one's from the 80' but with modern form. Firstly we make a research about low-scale production methods. Then product market research with modern examples. The key point here was functionality of such product - concave shape or what pedals pin to use. Lastly the moodboard was created and we were ready to design a form.

Our Role
Project started just for fun to create such product for personal use but we'd never supposed it's gonna work out that well. From intial sketches and ideas to a fully functional prototype working really well. This case study gave us real knowledge of how to develop it further by optimising the material use and weight and we were able to develop by creating metal made prototype.
